The method for detaching a component stack (2) from a tool (3) involves dropping, from a specified height (H), a carrier unit (12) with the stack and the tool onto an anvil (15). Detachment is brought about by the impact between the anvil and the protruding section (10) of the tool. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for implementation of the proposed method.
