METHODS FOR PURIFICATION OF TRIMETALLIC NITRIDE ENDOHEDRAL METALLOFULLERENES AND RELATED FULLERENE DERIVATIVES

<p>Methods for separating and purifying carbon nanomaterials such as trimetallic nitride endohedral metallofullerenes are described. In certain embodiments, carbon nanomaterials are contacted with a carbon nanomaterial reactive agent. The reactive agent binds empty cage fullerenes, nanotubes, and endohedral metallofullerenes without appreciably binding trimetallic nitride endohedral metallofullerenes. According to some embodiments, purified forms of trimetallic nitride endohedral metallofullerenes may be prepared.</p>
