<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture taking apparatus and a monitor camera system which monitors a stereoscopic picture by one camera. <P>SOLUTION: When a picture processor 3 video-processing picture information taken at a standard position detects an abnormal condition, it transforms the picture information at the standard position into still pictures to store them in an internal memory and outputs a warning. Upon detection of the warning, a controller 4 changes the position of a driving mount 2 to move the position of a camera 1 mounted on the driving mount 2, generates new still pictures from picture information taken at a reference position, reads and collates the recorded still pictures taken at the standard position from the internal memory to control for making the stereoscopic view, thus monitoring stereoscopic pictures by one camera. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
