<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store an optical fiber in a tray for storing excess length of a core wire in a short time, without holding the optical fiber therebetween. <P>SOLUTION: When the optical fiber 27 or 35 branching from an optical fiber cable 1 is stored in the tray 3 for storing the excess length of the core wire, at least the edge side of one-side 7A of a core wire protection sheet 7 is fixed to one surface of a tray bed 5, provided in parallel along a 1st direction where the optical fiber cable 1 stretches. The edge side of the other side 7B of the core wire protection sheet 7 is turned up so that the surroundings of the optical fiber cable 1 is covered and an excess part of the optical fiber 27 or 35 may be stored and is locked freely detachably to a engaging section 17, provided at one sided edge of the tray bed 5 by a hook section 11 provided at another sided edge 7B of the core wire protective sheet 7.
