PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal television set provided with a function capable of easily eliminating beat noise without causing sudden rise in product cost and development cost, for coping with such a case that the beat noise occurs at a proportion that is not so high. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal television set is provided with a remote control 42 for inputting an operation command from the outside, an inverter circuit 31 for generating AC power supply to be fed to a back light 35, a noise elimination circuit 32 for changing the frequency of periodical noise generated from the inverter circuit 31 and a control circuit 23 for operating the noise elimination circuit 32 when a prescribed operation command is inputted through the remote control 42, wherein the noise elimination circuit 32 consists of a capacitor and a switch transistor for connecting or disconnecting the capacitor to/from a dc power supply line of the inverter circuit 31 and the operation of the noise elimination circuit 32 is prevented from being stopped until a channel of a broadcast signal received by a tuner is changed after the control circuit 23 operates the noise elimination circuit 32.
