PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine credit fraudulence by a special tool without complicating the structure of a medal selector section and without disturbing the flow of medals. SOLUTION: A medal input path is provided with a first detection part 26 for optically detecting an input medal and a second detection part 27 for optically detecting the input medal and an inserted foreign substance on the upstream side. The number of input medals is counted based on a detection signal of the first detection part 26, and the insertion of the foreign substance is determined based on a detection signal of the second detection part 27.
