PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a norbornene-based ring-opening polymer having excellent transparency, water resistance and heat resistance and affording an optical film, etc., having wavelength dispersibility of diverse phase differences and to provide a molded product thereof. SOLUTION: The norbornene-based ring-opening polymer has a structural unit represented by formula (1) äwherein, a is an integer of 0-2; Xs are each a -CH=CH- and/or a -CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>-; R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>6</SP>denote each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydrocarbon group or the like, with the proviso that at least one of R<SP>3</SP>to R<SP>6</SP>is a group represented by formula (1-1) and/or formula (1-2) [wherein, Ar is a bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group; R<SP>7</SP>to R<SP>15</SP>denote each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydrocarbon group or the like; and b and c are each independently an integer of 0-3] and/or formula (1-2) [wherein, Ar is a bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group; R<SP>16</SP>to R<SP>24</SP>denote each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydrocarbon group or the like; and d is an integer of 0-3]; and the plurality of Xs are each the same or different}.
