PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a mother-of-pearl layer equipped with a tabular aragonite crystal. SOLUTION: A well is coated with a silk fibroin solution containing pearlin, and a crystal-forming mother liquor containing a protein complex is added to the well.
