PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a dial in texture and visibility. SOLUTION: The dial is equipped with a substrate 9 made of a transparent resin and a metal layer 11 formed on one face of the substrate 9. The other face of the substrate 9 is subjected to an indenting process 7, and a letter or figure (5) of the transparent resin is brought to project from the face treated by the indenting process 7. The metal layer 11 is made capable of transmitting light from the face of the substrate 9 on which the metal layer 11 is formed, thereby improving the dial in the texture and visibility.
