The device (10) is designed as a shaft (12) with two handles (24, 26) attached to its upper end and two movable gripping and/or cutting elements (14, 16) situated at its lower end. A lead in the shape of a wire is guided through the shaft (12) to an electrode located at each of the elements (14, 16) in order to facilitate a coagulation or removal of tissue using electric power. The wire is guided around the rotation axle (18) at the lower end, forming a loop preventing the wire from being bent and stretched excessively during an operation.
