<p>In a biometric authentication device which uses biometric information to authenticate individuals, guidance is provided to help ensure that image capture of biometric information is performed appropriately. An image capture device (1-1) repeats image capture operations (S30 to S50) (including distance measurement) at short intervals. When image capture failures occur, a control unit stacks (S50) the failure causes, and if image capture failures are not resolved even after a prescribed number of image capture operations (S48), judges that the relationship between a body part and the image capture device must be corrected, analyzes (S52) the stacked image capture failure causes, and displays a guidance screen on a display device according to the analysis result.</p> |
