<p>The present invention represents a procedure for decomposition of lead sulphate (PbSO4) in lead batteries, which crystallises on the surface of the positive (PbO2) and negative electrode (Pb) in a lead battery, a procedure of maintenance of a lead battery and a device for carrying out the said procedures. By this procedure, the capacity of the lead battery is increased and its service life prolonged. According to the procedure for decomposition of lead sulphate in lead batteries and the procedure of maintenance of lead batteries according to the present invention, lead sulphate in lead batteries decomposes or its formation is prevented by means of pulsating direct electrical current running outside of the battery in the direction from the negative electrode to the positive electrode with the frequency of 1 Hz to 14 kHz and current intensity from 10 mA to 10 A.</p> |
