1. A method of recovering metallic fractions, especially of copper and its alloys, from metallurgical ashes and slag, consisting in the following operations: Post-metallurgical material is ground in a ball grinder. Light, flying non-metallic dusts are sucked from the grinder by means of a ventilation system pipeline and initially separated from metallic fractions with higher specific weight. Then, they are conducted through the pipeline into a settling tank, where further non-metallic fractions drop into a chute tank. Then, the lightest particles of non-metallic fractions are conducted through the pipeline to a pulse filter, where they drop into a chute funnel. The air is cleaned in the inserts of the pulse filter and pumped out by means of a ventilator, according to patent No. 175573. It is characterised in that a post-metallurgical material is subjected to the process of screening. The minus mesh fractions constitute a half-product to be used later on, while the plus mesh fractions or coarse fraction from the ball grinder (1) are subjected to magnetic separation.
