Sealing of resting connections, especially flange connections, made of an elastic and resilient material, for instance, elastomer. Its perimeter is closed and its cross-section is approximately U-shaped, with the arms parallel to the sealing plane, directed towards the space with higher pressure. Moreover, it is equipped with a pressing assembly located between the arms to pull their ends apart. It is characterised in that the pressing assembly consists of axially polarised permanent magnets (2, 3), secured in sockets made at the tips and along the edges of the sealing arms. The monomial ends of magnets face each other. There is a gap (5) between permanent magnets (2, 3), when the operating width (b) of the sealing has the nominal value. |
