The roller has sections (1, 2) with orifices for receiving ends of axles (5) having rolling units (3). Each orifice is arranged in an opening extending at the upper side of the corresponding section for simultaneous passage of the ends towards the inner side of the orifices. The ends are passed from a projecting side of the sections and along a vertical direction up to the base of the openings to retract the axles.
