MIXTURE OF RECOMBINANT VACCINIA VECTORS AS POLYENV-VACCINES AGAINST HIV

The invention relates to polyenv-vaccines which are mixtures of at least from 4 to about 10,000 different recombinant viruses each of which expresses a different variant of HIV env or of part of it containing the two domains, constant and changing, as well as to methods for the preparation and application of such polyenv-vaccinites and viruses, including the application of polyenv-vaccine as live, attenuated or inactive form for the prevention and treatment of HIV infections. The viral vaccines are optimum combined with recombinant HIV env accelerator or with one recombinant DNA containing the HIV env gene, for the initiation and acceleration of the vaccine.
