The combination of a pivotable flood protection element and promenade has weather-resistant elements (2,3,7) pivotable around pins (5) from the horizontal into the vertical positions. The individual elements are mounted in the top of the sea wall to rotate around the pins and can be lowered into a fixing shaft (6) during which the pins slide in elongated holes which are located in the main supports (3) of the element.
