<p>A method and a device for establishment of tension relief for a cable (5). A standard sleeve (2) is provided. A tubular rubber bushing whose inside circumference corresponds to the outside circumference of the cable concerned is fitted in the standard sleeve. The rubber bushing, which can be introduced axially into the sleeve (2), bears at least one annular element (3) made of plastically defoiinable material. The outer circumference of the element is adjacent to the sleeve. The inside circumference of the element (3) is adjacent to the outside diameter of the cable (5) but is covered with a 2 mm thick layer of the rubber bushing (4). The sleeve (2) is contact-pressed, together with the annular elements (3) and the bushing (4), to tension-relieving tight engagement with the cable (5). One and the same tool can be used for contact pressing operations for all sizes of cable within the cable size range.</p> |
