An optical transmission device and an optical transmission system are provided for providing excellent optical transmission characteristics for an analog signal even when a reflection phenomenon is generated in an optical transmission path, by investigating the cause of deterioration due to light reflection. A frequency converter (3) is provided for converting the frequency band of an electric signal to be transmitted into a prescribed higher frequency band. A semiconductor laser (4) is provided as an electro-optic converter for performing electro/optic conversion of the electric signal after the frequency conversion.
