<p>A hinge device is provided to be used in an opening/closing mechanism of devices such as cellular phone, and has excellent durability and cost performance with a simple constitution. A structure for attaching such hinge device is also provided. The hinge device is provided with a cylindrical member (30); a catch (26), which fits in the cylindrical member, and has an engaging protruding part (32) wherein protruding plane parts (47) are formed on the both sides of the protruding part, having a flat summit plane part (48) between the protruding plane parts; and a disc (24), which has a guide path (36) on a surface part, and engaging recessed parts (38) which engage with the engaging protruding part, at a position facing the engaging protruding part of the catch, with recessed plane parts (40) having a larger curvature radius than that of the protruding plane part on the both sides and a flat bottom plane part (42) formed between the recessed plane parts. While a turning case is fixed by maintaining the engaged status of the engaging protruding part and the engaging recessed part by urging force of a urging means provided in the cylindrical member, the engaged status is released by opening/closing the turning case against the urging force, and the turning case can be temporarily held and fixed.</p> |
