<p>Steaming apparatus intended for ironing and other uses in the home, is provided with a steam generator (40) having a water reservoir (30). First and second steam outlets (71, 73) are also provided, each outlet being in respective fluid communication (63, 66. 67) with the generator. The first outlet (71) can be coupled, by way of a first tubular connection (72), to an electrically heatable steam iron (not shown) and the second outlet (73) can be coupled to a second tubular connection (74), which typically comprises a hose provided at its distal end with a connector device capable of receiving any of a plurality of attachments, such as nozzles and/or apertured brushes, designed to carry out various functions, such as steam cleaning or surface treatment of fabrics. It is preferred that the first outlet is provided with a user-variable steam output controller (64), and that the second outlet is not so provided.</p> |
