<p>A waste water de-nitrification assembly has a water sprinkler over a porous droplet release unit positioned under an air exclusion hood. The hood is located under the water sprinkler and close overhead the droplet release. The hood has numerous tiny holes for incoming water. The droplet hood is a perforated flexible foil (9) located under a perforated water pipe/jet (13) discharge system. During normal operation the hood outer surface bears a film (12) of effluent water. In a further embodiment the water is surrendered to the hood outer surface by a rotating sprinkler. The upper part of the porous body (2) is of lesser porosity than the lower sections. The upper part of the porous body accumulates a biological film that largely encases the porous body. The foil cover (9) may be removed and replaced like a swimming pool cover.</p> |
