Valve assembly

A valve assembly (20) including a valve body (22) having an elongated passage (36) through which product flows and a valve element (24) which rotates about an axis (48) extending generally normal to an axis (38) defined by the passage (36) in the valve body (22) is disclosed. The valve element (24) is mounted in the valve body passage (36) to control product flow through the passage (36) as a function of the position of the valve element (24). The diameter of a valve body bore (47) within which the valve element (24) rotates is equal to or greater than the passage (36) it seals. A seal structure (60) cooperates with the valve element (24) to selectively seal the passage (36).
