Arrangement comprising an electric door lock with an electrical emergency function and its control means

The assembly comprises an electric lock for the door of a vehicle associated with a control. The opening of the lock is ensured electrically by the movement of an actuator supplied by the vehicle battery. The control includes a receiver of carrier waves and a code, with a circuit for comparison of the received code with a chosen code held in memory. A transmitter is provided for the user in order to send the chosen code to the receiver. When the received code matches that held in memory, the operation of the lock is authorised. The code used may change after each use, with the transmitter and receiver cycling through an algorithm of codes in order to enhance security provided.
