The method of displaying link numbers on the web page for a video system which performs any of an image-receiving function, an image-reproducing function, and an image-recording function includes: storing web pages downloaded from an external communication network; checking links on the stored web pages; assigning link numbers to the checked links; and displaying the link numbers to the links when the web pages are displayed.
