FIELD: rocketry; designing or modernization of multichamber cruise engine installations. ^ SUBSTANCE: first design version is multichamber cruise engine installation with nozzle head furnished with load-bearing member. Nozzle head is two-position, being made in form of cup whose bottom part is provided with holes for nozzles installed with ring clearances. Head encloses nozzles, it is installed on load-bearing member for longitudinal displacement from traveling position at which head exit section is either higher than or is in level with exit section of nozzles, into operating position at which exit section of head projects beyond exit section of nozzles through length L<=2(Dh-Des√n) where L is length of head part projecting beyond nozzle exit section; Dh is inner diameter of head at nozzle exit section; Des is diameter of nozzle exit section; n is number of nozzles. Second design version differs from first one in that head is made in form of cup with extensible side surface, for instance, in form of telescopic sections. When shifting head from traveling into operating position, head projects beyond exit section of nozzle through L<=2(Ds-Des√n) where Ds is inner diameter of head section adjoining bottom part. ^ EFFECT: increased thrust by creating areas of higher pressure formed owing to interaction of engine exhaust jets with walls of head. ^ 3 cl, 4 dwg |
