Disclosed are compounds of formula I, wherein: R is H, R1 is -CO-NR5R6, -CH2-NH-C(O)-R5 or -CH2-NR5R6, R5 is phenyl, phenyl-alkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkyl-alkyl, heterocyclyl or heterocylcyl-alkyl, R6 is phenyl, phenyl-alkyl, phenyl-alkenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkyl-alkyl, heterocyclyl or heterocyclyl-alkyl, or R5 and R6 together form an N-heterocyclyl group. The compounds are used for the manufacture of medicaments for treating diseases in which cathepsin K is implicated.
