PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method by which the prevention of breakout and the improvement of productivity can be attained by preventing the variation in the temperature of molten steel in a tundish. SOLUTION: Regarding the continuous casting method where molten steel is fed from a ladle which can be mounted with a ladle cover to a tundish, further, the molten steel is poured into a casting mold via an immersion nozzle arranged at the bottom of the tundish, and continuous casting is performed thereto, in the first charge, the molten steel is fed to the tundish without mounting the ladle cover on the ladle, and, on after the second charge, regarding the charge where the temperature of the molten metal upon the end of secondary refining prior to the continuous casting exceeds an objective temperature range, the ladle cover is not mounted on the ladle, and, regarding the other charge, in a state where the ladle cover is mounted on the ladle, the molten steel is fed to the tundish, and is continuously cast.
