PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for suppressing barking for a pet designed to suppress behaviors of the pet according to conditions by a pet owner, suppress consumption of a power source and save electric power. SOLUTION: This apparatus for suppressing the barking for the pet is equipped with a receiver 15 detecting the barking sound of a dog and providing a receiving mode for a prescribed time on the basis of the sound signal. When the barking sound of the dog is heard and judged to be a vain bark, the pet owner operates a transmitter 11. When a signal is outputted from the receiver 15 in the receiving mode of the receiver 15, a vibration part 10 is operated to apply vibration to the pet and suppress the barking of the pet. When there is no signal from the transmitter 11 in a prescribed time, the receiver 15 is changed into a stand-by state. Thereby, since there in no need of always feeding the power source to the receiver 15, the power consumption required for the receiver 15 can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
