<p num="1"><br/>A method of balancing a wheel and tire assembly comprises the steps of <br/>disposing a <br/>balancing material consisting essentially of a predetermined amount of <br/>hydrophobic <br/>ceramic beads (20) with continuously rounded surfaces in a cavity formed by <br/>the tire and <br/>wheel, pressurizing the tire with a gas, and rotating the tire whereby a <br/>portion of the <br/>hydrophobic ceramic beads migrates within the inner periphery of the tire to <br/>assume one or <br/>more positions so as to counterbalance imbalance in the wheel assembly.<br/>
