<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust manifold welded in a short time and having sufficient work efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A tapered connection part 12 whose diameter is enlarged toward its end on an outer side in a radial direction is formed at the end of a branch pipe 4, and also a tapered part 18 whose diameter is contracted toward a branch pipe 4 side is formed to a flange 2 attached to the exhaust port of an internal combustion engine. The outer side of the connection part 12 is put upon the taper part 18 and lap-welded by laser beam welding. The connection part is formed also at the other end of the branch pipe 4, the tapered part whose diameter is contracted toward the branch pipe 4 side is formed to a cover member arranged at the end of a collecting pipe, and the connection part is put upon the tapered part and lap-welded by laser beam welding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
