<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure which is excellent in joining strength and does not need majoir reconstruction equipment in the case of superposing a side sill inner panel with a bend-formed flange at the end of a floor panel and joining both panels by laser welding with the flange as the joining face. <P>SOLUTION: In the joint between the flange 2b on the floor panel 2 end and the side sill inner panel 4, there are preliminarily formed holes 6, 6... at positions that are lower than spot welding positions 5, 5... in the side sill inner panel 4 and that are facing correspondingly near the base of the flange 2b. Laser welding is performed, from the side sill inner panel 4 end, at the inner corner formed by the side sill inner panel 4 and the inner circumferential face of the holes 6, 6..., with both parts welded together with weld beads 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
