<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of easily forming an image of appropriate image quality that corresponds to the type of the image. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 2 for forming images using toner on the basis of received print data includes: a developing means 61 to/from which a plurality of developing units 611 storing the toner having the same color are attached/detached; and a selection means 51 for selecting one of developing units 611 to be used for the formation of an image, on the basis of the attribute information of each of the developing units 611 attached to the developing means 61 and the type of the image to be formed grasped on the basis of the print data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
