<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game apparatus which makes the players run a moving object such as a ball displayed on the screen to hit one or more targets displayed on the screen. <P>SOLUTION: The action of the moving object running displayed on the TV screen is changed based on the input from an input device operated by the players to hit the targets displayed on the screen. An operation timing judgment means 49 judges the operation timing of the input device operated by the players. When receiving the alteration command during the running of the moving object, a direction of moving object action alteration means 51 alters the direction of the action of the moving object according to the alteration command.
