<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a USB host to perform transmission/reception of MPEG-2 TS data using an appropriate communication method capable of removing packet jitter according to a USB device at a communication destination. <P>SOLUTION: A communication method of the MPEG-2 TS data in the USB host which communicates with an external device via a USB has an acquisition process (S100) for acquiring descriptor information from the external device, a judgment process (S102) for judging whether or not time stamp information is used for the transmission/reception with the external device by analyzing the acquired descriptor information and a setting process for setting communication equipment to a first mode for performing the transmission/reception of the MPEG-2 TS data with the external device using the time stamp information (S103) when it is judged that the time stamp information is used and setting the communication equipment to a second mode for performing the transmission/reception of the MPEG-2 TS data with the external device without using the time stamp information (S104) when it is judged that the time stamp information is not used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
