PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and a receiving circuit capable of carrying out demodulation with high accuracy and being realized with a comparatively small circuit scale. SOLUTION: An OFDM demodulation section 401 is mounted with an AFC section 4014 and each of OFDM demodulation sections 401 to 401m uses a frequency offset obtained by the AFC section 4014 to eliminate the frequency offset, and each of the OFDM demodulation sections 401 to 401m is provided with a cross-correlation section 4012, which detects a correlation level, and the OFDM demodulation sections 401 to 401m generate a symbol clock to receive a path suitable for the reception and the receiver carries out OFDM demodulation.
