PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "on-vehicle receiver" whereby a user makes adjustment to obtain optimum reception characteristics depending on a type of an antenna. SOLUTION: This on-vehicle FM receiver 1 includes: the antenna 20 for receiving a radio wave; demodulation means 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 28, 30, 32 for demodulating the signal received from the antenna 10; antenna discrimination means 12, 44 for discriminating the type of the antenna depending on an operating state of a booster amplifier 12; and demodulation control means 42, 44 for adjusting the reception characteristics of the demodulation means in response to the discriminated type of the antenna.
