PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular phone which alleviates user's burden by employing a simple lock release operation for various lock functions in the cellular phone, and to provide a lock function release method, a program, and an information record medium. SOLUTION: When two kinds of personal identification numbers are established for release of a lock function, a control unit 103 constituting a cellular phone collates a first stage personal identification number read from a memory 106 with a personal identification number inputted by keystroke. When authentication is successful as the result of the collation, the lock function is released. When the first personal identification number input is failed, namely, when authentication is unsuccessful as the result of the collating upon response of a second input by keystroke, a second stage personal identification number read from the memory 106 is collated with the personal identification number of the second input.
