PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of transmission lines for control data between a main controller and an image display device in a personal digital assistant, while suppressing adverse effects due to mixing in of noise. SOLUTION: Control data DTp which are generated in the main controller 40 and are converted to serial data are transmitted as a low voltage differential signal to a screen display device 41 via a transmission line 42, and a strobe signal STB of control data are transmitted to the picture display device 41 in the same manner. Power supply to transmission/reception buffers 52, 53, 60, and 61 is broken in non-transmission periods per frame period to suppress the power consumption, and a buffer enable signal BEN is delayed to mask the strobe signal STB in the screen display device 41.
