PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optimum protocol information according to a position of a client terminal to a service provision server to support access to the server. SOLUTION: This access support server has: a protocol information storage means 30a storing preset communication protocol information according to the positions of the client terminals 11, 12 to the position of the service provision server 20; a position information reception means 32 receiving position information of the client terminals on a network from the client terminals 11, 12; a protocol determination means 33 determining a communication protocol used when the client terminal accesses the service provision server, on the basis of the received position information of the client terminal and the information stored in the protocol information storage means; and a protocol information transmission means 34 transmitting the determined communication protocol information to the client terminal.
