PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light inputting apparatus with which light beams of different wavelengths from a plurality of light sources can be made incident on a photonic crystal fiber through a simple structure. SOLUTION: This is a light inputting apparatus with which the light beam from each of the plurality of light sources emitting light beams of a mutually different wavelength is made incident on the end face of the core 11 of the photonic crystal fiber 1. The plurality of light sources 2, 3, 4 are composed of two light sources each emitting a light beam of at least a relatively different long and a short wavelength. Of the two light sources, one that emits a short wavelength is arranged at a position near the longitudinal center axis going through the end face of the core of the photonic crystal fiber, while the other that emits a long wavelength is arranged at a position away from it.
