PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of preventing the warping of a wind direction deflecting plate when the warm air is blown out in a heating operation. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner provided with a suction port 1 and a blowout port 2, and having the wind direction deflecting plate (diffuser 5) rotatably mounted on the blowout port 2, a sheet 9 composed of a member having a coefficient of thermal expansion smaller than that of the wind direction deflecting plate (diffuser 5) is attached to the wind direction deflecting plate (diffuser 5). Thus the deformation of the wind direction deflecting plate (diffuser 5) caused by the warm air circulated through the blowout port 2, can be prevented, and the impairing of a rotating function caused by warping of the wind direction deflecting plate (diffuser 5) and the disfiguring can be prevented.
