PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-forming method by which a changing edge in a scalpel for operation having thicker edge end part than a main body part can easily be formed by using a comparatively small type pressing machine. SOLUTION: The end part of a sheet material for forming is pressed from the parallel direction with the sheet material for forming to increase the thickness so as to form this end part as the edge end part. To be concrete, the sheet material for forming is adjusted to the outer shape under a state of adjoining the backs of two pieces of the changing edges in the scalpel for operation, and the center portion of the sheet material for forming is pressed in the thickness direction, and both end parts of the sheet material for forming are pressed as parallel with the sheet material to increase the thickness of both end parts. The end part increasing the thickness is punched out into two pieces of the changing edges in the scalpel for operation from the sheet material for forming so as to become the respective edge end parts, and each end part is ground and pressed, etc., to form the edge end part.
