PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a banding strap into close contact with stacked paper sheets and band them by bending the band strap while the banding strap is pushed on the side face part of the stacked paper sheets. SOLUTION: A paper sheets processing apparatus is equipped with a feeding reel for feeding the band strap 36 along the bottom face part of stacked bills S in which a specified number of sheets of the bills P are stacked, a first bending means 46 bending one end part side of the band strap 36 fed by this feeding reel while the one end part side is pushed along one side face part of the stacked bills S, and bending the band strap along the upper face part of the stacked bills S, a second bending means 47 bending the other end part side of the band strap 36 while the other end part side is pushed along the other side face part of the stacked bills S, and bending it so as to overlapping on one end part side of the band strap 36, and a heating heater 35 for sticking a part where one end part side of the band strap 36 is overlapped on the other end part side.
