PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which can attain a high quality of recording images by precisely positioning and supporting each member that constitutes the recorder, and which can reduce costs by lessening load loading applied to a chassis. SOLUTION: A transfer roller 2 which transfers recording media 24 and 63 in a sub scanning direction; a recording part unit 20 constituted while supporting both a carriage 6 which carries a recording means 8 and performs main scanning, and a pinch roller 3 which rotates following the transfer roller at the chassis 1; a platen 16 which supports the recording medium at a position opposed to the recording means; and a paper supply part unit 49 which supplies the recording medium to a position opposed to the recording means are positioned to a base unit 21 and supported.
