PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus capable of realizing to change an ink drop to a smaller liquid droplet without decreasing throughput of the recording apparatus. SOLUTION: An energy generating element 25 of a recording head is driven by a driving means 240, and the driving means 240 is controlled by a controlling means 200. The controlling means 200 controls the driving means 240 so that the liquid droplets discharged from a nozzle OC1 whose maximum discharging output is small and a nozzle EC1 whose maximum discharging output is large reach at least one dot-forming predetermined position to be formed on a recording medium with the liquid droplet discharged from the nozzle OC1 whose maximum discharging output is small among a plurality of kinds of the nozzles formed on the recording head, for example, EC1 and OC1.
