The invention relates to a laminating press (10). According to the invention, the laminating press (10) is provided with a bending device (36) with which a press plate (22) can be elastically bent. When closing the laminating press (10), the press plate (22) bends back until the press plate (22) is flat. With the invention, a laminate (38) is, starting from the middle, subjected to the action of a pressing pressure that continues toward the edges of the laminate (38). As a result, a hot-melt adhesive of the laminate (38) is, starting from middle of the laminate (38), melted and forced toward the edges of the laminate (38). This results in a thin and uniform adhesive layer whereby excessive adhesive is forced out of the laminate (38). |
