<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for extracting and collecting natural energies and artificial energies of roads, road attached facilities and road peripheral areas, and converting them as effective power energies, and a system capable of integrally managing deterioration, breakage and damaged states of roads in addition to traffic conditions of the roads. <P>SOLUTION: Power generation from vehicle passing energy is realized by the piezoelectric effect of actuating materials. Road embedded sensors utilizing the piezoelectric effect of actuating materials measuring the traffic of vehicles, the deterioration state of pavement surfaces or the deterioration state of bridges and sensors using the piezoelectric effect of actuating materials measuring the deterioration state of road structures are connected to a distributed power source utilizing the power generation giving no load to the environment and natural energy, and connected to an information collecting/analyzing server through a network to unify the management of collection of traffic information, deterioration state information of road structures and power information of the system itself, whereby a higher-level detailed road traffic control system for a wide range is realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
