<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup apparatus wherein fear of disconnection of a circuit conductor of a flexible board is eliminated, and the flexible board is easily mounted on a housing, and also to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical pickup apparatus 1 provided with: the housing 5 on which electric/electronic components 10, 20 and 30 are mounted; and the flexible board 100 connected to the electric/electronic components 10, 20 and 30 and mounted on the housing 5, hanger parts 116 and 117 by which the flexible board 100 is hung to the housing 5 are provided at the flexible board 100, hanging parts 6 and 7 corresponding to the hanger parts 116 and 117 are provided at the housing 5, and when the flexible board 100 is mounted on the housing 5, the hanger parts 116 and 117 are hung to the hanging parts 6 and 7 and the flexible board 100 is curved.
