<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure controlling apparatus which controls a blood pressure of living bodies in a noninvasive manner. <P>SOLUTION: Since a pressing state of a living body pressing device 14 is automatically changed by a pressing state controlling device 98 from a blood pressure-related value so that the blood pressure-related value (for example, an estimated systolic blood pressure EBP<SB>SYS</SB>) detected by a blood pressure-related value detector 96 remains within a targeted region (for example a targeted blood pressure BP<SB>M</SB>), and the blood of an area which is pressed by the device 14 out of the living body 12 is quickly supplied to the central part of the living body such as the brain, the blood pressure of the living body is controlled in a noninvasive manner.
